Geo-Textile Fabrics

Introduction

At BAHETI GROUP, we specialize in the production of high-quality Geotextile fabrics, a key segment within the broader category of geo-synthetics. Geotextiles are generally classified into woven, non-woven, and knitted types, each designed for specific engineering applications. Our core expertise lies in the manufacturing of woven and knitted geotextiles, crafted using a variety of yarns with properties tailored to suit diverse end-use requirements. The primary functions of our geotextile fabrics include separation, filtration, drainage, reinforcement, barrier formation, and protection, making them ideal for infrastructure, civil engineering, and environmental projects.

Geo-Textile Fabrics can be used in below application:
  • Reinforcement on Weak Soils
  • Separation/Filtration Layers
  • Drainage
  • Pavement Reinforcement
  • Slope Protection
  • Rock-fall Protection
Airfield
  • Runway Reinforcement
  • Drainage
Agriculture
  • Soil Protection
  • Protection against
  • Unwanted weed and insects

  • Reinforcement
Reservoirs/Canals/Dams
  • Lining
Coastal Areas/River Bank
  • Erosion & Sediment

Synthetic or natural fibers are used in the creation of geotextiles to produce a substance that resembles fabric. There are several ways to create geotextiles, such as:

  • Needle punching: This technique makes non-woven fabric by punching needles through layers of fibers to bind and interlock them.
  • Thermal bonding: This technique involves melting fibers together using heat to form a bond between them.
  • Chemical bonding: By using chemicals to fuse the fibers together, a robust and long-lasting material can be produced.
  • Weaving: To make woven cloth, strands are interlaced during the weaving process.
  • Knitting: Using this technique, yarns are looped to create a knitted fabric.

After the geotextile is manufactured, it can undergo additional processing to form it into rolls or sheets.

At BAHETI GROUP, our geotextile fabrics are primarily composed of polypropylene, known for its excellent durability, chemical resistance, and performance in demanding environments. Depending on the application requirements, we also utilize other high-performance polymers such as polyester, high-density polyethylene (HDPE), polyamide (nylon), and blends involving polypropylene. This material versatility allows us to deliver geotextiles that are engineered for strength, longevity, and optimal performance across a wide range of infrastructure and geotechnical projects.

Woven geotextiles are produced by weaving individual yarns on high-precision looms to create a strong and consistent fabric structure. We utilize a variety of materials such as slit film, fibrillated yarn, and monofilaments, while maintaining a consistent and reliable weaving process across all types. This ensures uniformity, high tensile strength, and durability in every roll we produce.

Knitted geotextiles, on the other hand, are developed by interlocking yarns through a looping method, forming flexible and adaptable fabric structures. At BAHETI GROUP, we combine advanced knitting techniques with complementary processes like weaving to enhance the performance and structural integrity of our knitted geosynthetics.

BAHETI GROUP specializes in high-quality ground covers, shading nets, and road covers. With 30 dedicated Sulzer looms, we efficiently produce woven and knitted geotextiles for a wide range of industrial and infrastructure applications.

  • VENTILATEDVentilated FIBC Bag is a specially designed FIBC Bag with air vents along the woven fabric on its body. This is a kind of mesh fabric that allows easy air flow to the contents inside and prevents moisture build-up.
  • CONDUCTIVEConductive bags are a type of bulk bag that are designed with conductive fabric or thread to provide static protection during the transportation and storage of flammable or combustible materials. Conductive FIBC bags are also known as Type C bags.
  • CONTAINER LINERA Container Liner Bag is a protective packaging bag designed for shipping dry bulk cargo in a safe and controlled environment. These bags are placed inside shipping containers to form a protective lining between the cargo and the container walls. Thus, the packed product is safer than in any sack or standard packaging option.
  • PLATENE BAGSPlaten bags are designed to directly replace traditional metal captains or trash cans. They are woven from polypropylene and have a very high strength and weight ratio. The size of the platen bag is larger than traditional bulk bags, and the usable capacity is 0.7-3 cubic meters.
  • GAMBO LINERA Gambo Liner is a form-shaped PE liner and allows optimum utility of the bag corner where the material does not flow freely. Gambo Big Bags serve the same purpose as Baffle Bags, but their construction is slightly different. It is designed to maximize the storage and transportation space.

With decades of experience in Geotextile manufacturing, BAHETI GROUP holds a competitive edge by combining deep industry knowledge with large-scale production capacity, enabling us to deliver high-quality products with greater efficiency and consistency.
